Phionah was one of eleven children from a Muslim family. She heard about Jesus at a church service at Victory Covenant Church, and received Him as her Lord and Savior. When she told her father, he disowned her and put her out on the streets. Phionah was 13 years old. She was taken in by our Grandma Imelda, a beautiful older woman in the church, who cared for many children who had nowhere else to go. She is sponsored by a wonderful family in Virginia who has brought her the stability she so desperately needed. Today, Phionah is enrolled in the Nile Vocational Institute studying Catering and Hotel Management.
