2021 - Year in Review

We are so thankful for all that God has provided in 2021! Below are some highlights from our ministries in 2021, as well as financial summary data. At V127 we are committed to transparency in how funds are allocated and we are always excited to celebrate what God has done along with you, our V127 family!

Victory House Phase 2

We completed Phase 2 of Victory House in March of 2021 and named it our Joanne Gentile Dormitory for Girls. This was our first boarding section for students. We completed this project for $38,000.

Victory House Phase 3

We started Phase 3 of Victory House in March 2021, and completed it in Dec 2021. We have named this boarding section the Michael J Brennan Dormitory for Boys. We completed this project for $37,440.

Bunk Bed Blessin'

We launched a “Bunk Bed Blessin” project in March and God provided exactly what we needed for 47 bunk beds to furnish both the girls and boys dorms. ($8225)

Rice and Beans

We sent $20,900 for Rice and Beans in 2021. (This was $4500 more than we sent in 2020.) This was a vital part of our ministry, especially in 2020 and in 2021, as many of our families were on lockdown for months at a time because of Covid. Our rice and beans fund sustained many lives.

Sponsorship Totals

We started 2021 with 147 children, and 118 sponsors, and finished 2021 with 144 children and 115 sponsors. Those 3 children dropped out of the program for various reasons, and all three sponsors were waiting to sponsor new children. We didn’t receive any new children in 2021, because of Covid, the kids were in and out of school so much & it wasn’t the right time to bring new ones into the program. We sent $58,940 for school term payments for our kids.

Higher Education

We had 13 students enrolled in Higher Education. 1 in medical school, 2 in university, 1 in technical school, and 9 in vocational school. We purchased 3 bicycles for transportation for 3 of our boys in vocational school. We sent $16,530 for higher education and the extra for our boarding students.

General Fund Usage

Through our general fund, we paid rent for families in crisis, we paid for medical expenses, we covered missed sponsor payments, paid for electricity, and a host of other needs. We sent $19,820 from our General fund in 2021.

Community Christmas Celebration

We raised $26,857 for Christmas in Uganda. (That was $12,119 more than we sent in 2020! ($14,738)) We saw at least 10 people give their lives to the Lord, nearly 700 families blessed with gifts of food, 1000 children were ministered to at the Children's Christmas Celebration service, personalized gifts distributed to our V127 children, and gifts of food for our V127 families and team members. It was an awesome month of celebrating the birth of our Savior!

“In that day you will say: ‘Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done, and proclaim that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for He has done glorious things; let this be know to all the world. Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.’”

Isaiah 12:4-6

“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy”

Psalm 126:3
